By completing a purchase with Pereira Jewelry, you acknowledge and agree to this Returns & Refunds Policy in full.
1. Return Eligibility Window
Eligible merchandise may be returned within ten (10) calendar days of confirmed delivery, as determined by the shipping carrier’s delivery confirmation. For in-store purchases, the window runs ten (10) calendar days from the date of pickup or purchase.
Returns initiated or received outside of this window will not be accepted. A Return Authorization is required before sending anything back — see Section 8. Do not ship items back on your own; unauthorized returns may be refused or held (see Section 9).
2. Condition of Returned Items
All returned items must be:
- In new, unworn, unaltered, and undamaged condition
- Free from any signs of wear, sizing, engraving, or modification
- Returned with all original packaging, pouches, boxes, and tags
- Accompanied by any diamond or gemstone certificate, appraisal, or documentation that came with the item
All returns are subject to inspection by our master jeweler and final approval at our sole discretion. Every returned piece is photographed and weighed upon receipt. If an item fails inspection — including any sign of wear, damage, alteration, or a missing certificate — the return will be rejected and the item returned to you at your expense, or a diminished-value deduction applied at our discretion.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
3. Restocking Fee
All approved returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee, deducted from the refund amount.
Example:
- Purchase price: $1,000
- Restocking fee (10%): $100
- Refund issued: $900 (original shipping excluded)
At our sole discretion, the restocking fee may be waived if you choose store credit toward a future purchase instead of a refund.
4. Return Shipping Responsibility
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. All returns must be shipped fully insured for the full purchase value, with signature confirmation and tracking. Pereira Jewelry is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit to us. If a returned package is lost or arrives damaged, the claim is between you and the carrier, and no refund will be issued until the item is received and inspected.
5. Non-Returnable & Final Sale Items
The following are strictly non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable, regardless of condition, wear, or reason for the request:
- Personalized and engraved items — including name plates, name necklaces and rings, engraved bracelets, engraved pendants, and any piece with a name, initial, date, message, or custom text. Because these are made uniquely for you and cannot be resold, all sales are final the moment production or engraving begins.
- Baby and children’s jewelry that is engraved, personalized, or made to order — including engraved baby bracelets, name pieces, and Mano Azabache pieces customized to your request.
- Custom pieces — any item designed, built, or produced to a customer’s specifications, including CAD/custom orders and one-of-a-kind commissions.
- Any item resized, altered, plated, dipped, or modified at the customer’s request — the modification voids all return and exchange eligibility.
- Grillz — final sale for hygiene reasons.
- Earrings and piercing jewelry — final sale for hygiene reasons.
- Deposits and payments toward custom, engraved, or special orders — non-refundable, including if the order is cancelled by the customer after production begins.
- Layaway orders — eligible for store credit only; no cash refunds.
- Items marked “Final Sale” or “Clearance.”
- Items marked “Exchange Only” — eligible for exchange only; no refunds.
Customer responsibility on personalized orders: You are responsible for confirming all spelling, names, dates, sizing, and design details before you approve the order. Once approved, we produce exactly what you confirmed. We are not responsible for errors in information you provided or approved, and such orders cannot be returned, remade, or refunded at our expense.
These exclusions are absolute and apply regardless of condition or wear.
6. Gold, Bullion & Investment Metals
Loose gold, gold bars, bullion, coins, and investment-grade metal products are excluded from standard return eligibility. If accepted for return at our discretion, such items are refunded solely at the current market metal value at the time the item is received and processed — not the original purchase price. Precious-metal prices fluctuate daily; this valuation may be higher or lower than what you paid, and the difference is not our responsibility.
7. Financing Purchases
If you purchased using Affirm, Acima, Snap, or layaway, any approved refund will be processed back to the financing provider according to their terms, not paid to you directly. Your payment obligation to the financing provider continues until the refund is fully processed and reconciled by that provider. A return does not automatically pause, reduce, or cancel your financing balance — continue your payments as agreed to avoid fees or penalties.
8. How to Request a Return (Required)
Before shipping anything back, you must request a Return Authorization by contacting us within your 10-day window at pereirajewelrysignature@gmail.com or (860) 805-8424 with your order number and reason for return. We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions. Returns sent without authorization may be refused, held, or delayed, and Pereira Jewelry assumes no responsibility for them.
9. Late or Unauthorized Returns
Returns received after the 10-day window, or without authorization, will not be processed. Such items will be:
- Held until you arrange and pay for return shipping, and
- Returned to you fully insured at your expense
Pereira Jewelry assumes no responsibility for unauthorized or late returns and is not liable for holding them.
10. Refunds & Timing
Once your return is received and passes inspection, we will process approved refunds within 7 business days to the original payment method (or the original financing provider). Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear. Store-credit refunds are issued immediately upon approval.
11. Exchanges
Eligible items may be exchanged within the same 10-day window, subject to the same condition requirements in Section 2. If the new item costs more, the difference is due at exchange; if it costs less, the balance is issued as store credit. Final Sale and non-returnable items cannot be exchanged.
12. Gifts
Items returned as gifts are eligible for store credit only, issued to the person returning the item, subject to all conditions in this policy. Cash refunds are only issued to the original purchaser and original payment method.
13. Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or has a genuine manufacturing defect, do not treat it as a standard return — it is handled under our Warranty Policy. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can make it right.
14. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute instead of following this Returns & Refunds Policy is a violation of your purchase terms. This policy, along with delivery confirmation, inspection and photographic documentation, order records, and communications, may be submitted as evidence to payment processors, financing providers, and financial institutions to contest any dispute. We reserve the right to refuse future service to customers who file fraudulent or bad-faith disputes.
15. Policy Enforcement
Pereira Jewelry reserves the right to:
- Deny any return that does not meet the requirements of this policy
- Refuse service to repeat or abusive violators
- Modify this policy at any time without prior notice
16. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
